Tunes include 'Love Was Once a Little Boy', Wake of Erin', 'Garyone', and 'Croppies Lie Down'. bought for 10/- for young May Thrale, who upon her death in 1970 at the age of 87 willed it to her grand-nephew Richard Thrale of St. Albans. |

The executor's final account of his estate makes interesting reading: outstanding income tax was one guinea: yet he owed £35 for meat to the firm of G. Simons (which traded until 1985), an extraordinarily high figure, especially when one considers the servant's wages of 3/6d per week which are also mentioned. |
