Susannah Arabella Thrale Wedgwood teaset 1785
A 1785 (estimated date) Wedgwood dinner service with turned wood and carved bone serving pieces in the the original pine shipping box was given to Susannah and her sisters by Dr. Samuel Johnson. Susannah Thrale never married but gave the service to the Misses Marter of Knockholt who then bequeathed it to their nieces in the late 1870s/early 1880s.

Old musical box in mahogany and buhl inlaid case owned by William Thrale. Lot no.186 in the 1897 sale of William Thrale's house, the Maltings, Wheathampstead. Tunes include 'Love Was Once a Little Boy', Wake of Erin', 'Garyone', and 'Croppies Lie Down'. bought for 10/- for young May Thrale, who upon her death in 1970 at the age of 87 willed it to her grand-nephew Richard Thrale of St. Albans.
