I note with interest that you list an engraving attributed to Henry [Hoppner] Meyer. I am writing to tell you that the National Portrait Gallery in London and the Smithsonian Institute in Washington have both now accepted my research and agree that Henry Meyer was never known as Henry Hoppner Meyer in his lifetime, that it was Bernard Francis Hoppner Meyer [Hoppner Meyer], Henry's second eldest son, who emigrated to American and that it was he that painted and also made a drawing of President Andrew Jackson. Both Institutes are to amend all their records accordingly. In simple terms experts for many years have confused both artists – father and son. I hope you find this interesting and would consider amending your reference to this artist and in future will refer to him as Henry Meyer not Henry Hoppner Meyer.
