    Professional racehorse jockey. Turned professional in 1928. He rode 200-1 outsider Ardoon’s Pride in the 1929 Grand National on 22 March, falling on the first circuit, and in 1930 suffered a fractured skull in a serious fall but returned to race until 1935.
